Are you collecting all Rinkya Japanese flashcards? What do you think about our Grammar flashcards? We hope you like them! Today we are going to learn how to say “don’t do this” in Japanese. If we want to say “please, don’t smoke in the hospital” we state:
病院で吸ってないでください。Don’t smoke in the hospital.
Byouin de suttenaide kudasai.
It’s pretty easy. Put the verb in “~te” form (like an imperative) and add “~naide kudasai.” Please remember that some verbs in “~te” form have their endings in “~de.” So, be careful.
