Kumamon and Rilakkuma Christmas cakes are super cute! Lawson is releasing super cute Xmas cakes for our delight. If you’re planning to stay in Japan during Xmas, you’re lucky! Lawson is already accepting orders for these super cute cakes: Kumamon cake, Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma. If you also love the DIY craze, these cakes are going to be Heaven for you! Yes, you can tinker with them and decorate them before you eat them!
Exactly! You read it correctly: you buy a Kumamon cake, you put on the face, and you eat them. It’s perfect to play with food and to have a nice time with loved ones.
Kumamon Cake is a black chocolate cream coated dome cake. It has chocolate cream, cocoa sponge and whip custard. Since the face is packaged apart from the body, you can create your Xmas by decorating the cake yourself. Put Kumamon’s mouth, eyes, red cheeks and the rest of face in the right place. Then eat it!
Rilakkuma Cake has layers of whipped custard and caramel cream with a rolled sponge covered in custard cream glaze. (It sounds super yummy!) And Korilakkuma has whipped cream and strawberry cream! The face is also packaged on the side, so you can play decorating Rilakkuma before eating it.
Each cake is set to cost 3500 yen including tax. Cakes can be ordered through Lawson stores until December 15. Remember that these are limited cakes, and unless you order them with time, you won’t be able to eat them. So, if you’re in Japan and want to eat Kumamon or Rilakkuma, you better hurry!
