Japan travel gets interesting with Starbucks Evenings at Marunouchi, Tokyo. You have wine tasting, sweets and a wonderful night prospect! This new style of Starbucks will begin on March 30 at Starbucks Coffee Marunouchi Shin Tokyo Building (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). This is the first Starbucks in Japan that offers a special taste with a wonderful evening. There’s a special menu for the special Starbucks Evenings!
So, what’s all about this new Starbucks Evenings that you can enjoy at Marunouchi? Let’s discover all about it together!
Starbucks Evenings started back in 2010 in the United States, then in the UK in 2015 and now in Japan. The idea is that you get more than your coffee, you can also get some alcohol and some limited food. The menu has wine and tartlets as well as wine frappes.
Not only they look stylish, they’re really nice and a great idea for enjoying a good evening with friends.
Red wine and white wine cost around 850 yen, while sparkling wine costs 900 yen. There will be a total of six different types that will be interchanged every two months. Tartlets are easy to fit on the wine cups. There are five different types and cost 380 yen each. There is a pairing recommended for each set regarding their tastes, but you can combine them as you wish.
There is a Camembert & Belize set (1200 yen). It has Camembert cheese, blueberries, cranberries, almonds, and it’s coated with chocolate. This tartlet goes well with fruity flavored red wines, like Merlot.
Black cocoa tartlet set (1200 yen). This also goes well with a red wine. It has cocoa powder, ganache cake and is a little bit salty.
Cream cheese and orange set (1200 yen). This tartlet goes well with white wine, like Chardonnay. It tastes like citrus, has cream cheese, lemon, orange and sliced almonds. It’s very refreshing.
Strawberry White Chocolate set (1200 yen). It has pink chocolate powder and is filled with cheese. Its sour and sweet at the same time. It also goes well with white wine.
Gouda Cheese & Tropical Set (1200 yen) goes well with sparkling wine! It has Gouda cheese, pineapple, mango and sliced almonds. The cheese is not too strong, and the taste is balanced.
Tartlets have around 130 to 140 kcal each.
The wine glass motto is “permission to relax.” Glasses are handmade by Usuhari glass, and can also be purchased in store (3000 yen per unit).
You can also enjoy an Starbucks wine Frappe (900 yen). It has Hokkaido Yoichi blueberries and wine. It’s sour and refreshing and perfect for hot summers. There are also other items in the menu that are super interesting. Enjoy and tinker mixing wine and tartlets!
