Attack on Titan Bento Friday (A bit scary?)

Happy Friday everyone!
This bento was all the rage on Twitter and Pixiv in Japan last week!

Take a look on the impressive Attack on Titan Bento.

I had no idea imitation crabs look so much like muscle tissues when arranged this way… And those scary teeth made with rice!

The original photo was posted by 笑子 on Pixiv. If you have a Pixiv account you can see the entire process of making this bento. It’s pretty awesome.

Have a great weekend!

Steiff Japan’s representative explained, “such large response is unprecedented since Disney’s Teddy Bears.”
Kumamon has been selected as most popular local mascot character in past, but I suppose no one expected he would be this much of the rage! Go Kumamon!

Thanks for supporting Kumamon and Kumamoto!

All-women Oceans Eleven Takarazuka Show Finale

All-women theater troupe Takarazuka Revue finished its second run of Oceans Eleven musicals this week (This year’s run by Hanagumi, the troup’s most skilled and prestigious group of actors, whereas the first run was done by Hoshigumi).
It’s extremely interesting to see a Japanese, musical interpretation of one of Hollywood’s best hit titles, and because it’s based on a familiar film (to people from western culture), it’s a good show for people who have never seen Takarazuka.

Here’s a short clip from Takarazuka’s Oceans Eleven.
