Jiro Kuwata is one of influential manga artists in 60’s, who created Maboroshi Tantei, 8 Man, and manga adaptation of Batman.
On October 28th, Shogakukan released the first collected edition of long-lost Batman manga series by Jiro Kuwata. The comic ran on Shonen King and Shonen Gahou magazines in 1960’s. Some of these episodes have been reprinted from old magazines in an English translated collection called “Batmanga: The Secret History of Batman in Japan,” but this is the first time an entire series is collected and is printed from original master pages in Japanese.

It took nearly half a century to actually see this manga in a collected edition, pretty amazing!
The book also includes an essay by Jiro Kuwata.
